Frequently Asked Questions

Summer Dancecamp welcomes dancers of all levels, from ambitious beginners to international champions. Whether you come to improve your technique, challenge yourself or simply enjoy a week of dancing, you’ll find a group that matches your level.

No. You are welcome to register with or without a partner. Many participants attend on their own, and we work hard to create an inclusive and social atmosphere throughout the week.

Absolutely. Many dancers attend Summer Dancecamp without a partner. Throughout the week, we offer several classes that focus specifically on individual dance skills such as balance, movement quality, musicality and technique – making them valuable whether you compete as a couple, dance solo, or are currently looking for a partner.

**For partner-based classes, we do our best to match solo dancers with suitable practice partners whenever possible. Many lasting dance partnerships have started at Summer Dancecamp.

Yes. Summer Dancecamp is an excellent choice for Pro/Am dancers. Many classes focus on individual technique, movement and performance, while partner classes provide valuable training together with your professional partner.

Many Pro/Am dancers begin their week by competing at Summer DanceCup on Sunday before the camp starts, making the most of their trip to Denmark. Summer DanceCup features dedicated Pro/Am events across styles.

Yes. We welcome Senior dancers (35+) from all over the world and offer dedicated groups tailored to senior competitors, ensuring training with dancers of a similar level and age.

Yes. In addition to observing the dancers’ programme, teachers and coaches are invited to exclusive workshops, networking opportunities and social events throughout the week. It’s a unique opportunity to gain inspiration, exchange knowledge and connect with colleagues from around the world.

Alongside Summer Dancecamp, we also host Summer BreakCamp from Tuesday to Thursday – a dedicated camp for Breakdance dancers with its own programme and international coaches.

Participants are placed in groups based on their age, experience and competition level. This ensures that everyone trains with dancers of a similar level and gets the most out of the classes. If you’re unsure which group is right for you, just contact us – we’ll be happy to help.

Our goal is to provide the best possible learning experience for every participant. This means you may be placed in a different group than your friends. Outside your scheduled classes, you’re welcome to visit other groups during free practice sessions.

Each day includes morning warm-up, group classes, lectures and evening practice sessions, alongside with private lessons if you have requested these.

Private lessons are optional and are not included in the camp fee. They can be booked separately with our international teachers during the camp, subject to availability. Please note that private lessons will overlap with the camp programme.

The Golden Circle is one of Summer Dancecamp’s most popular traditions. During the daily evening practices, dancers who stand out through their performance, energy and showmanship are invited into the Golden Circle for a solo or battle style performance, creating an inspiring and motivating atmosphere for everyone.

Arrival and check-in take place on Sunday, with classes beginning on Monday morning. The camp concludes Thursday evening with our Summer Dancecamp Showcase and Party, with check-out and departure Friday morning.
