Summer DanceCup is open to all dancers, regardless of federation or affiliation. Everyone is welcome to compete.

Time Schedule & Results
The detailed time schedule will be published on 27 June 2027.
The first presentation round is expected to begin at 09:00, with the competition concluding around 22:30. Doors open one hour before the first presentation round.

Judges
Every year, Summer DanceCup brings together an outstanding international panel of adjudicators, representing a wide range of countries, experience and expertise.
The 2027 panel is currently being finalised, with confirmed adjudicators announced on an ongoing basis.
Many of our adjudicators also teach at Summer Dancecamp and are available for private lessons throughout the week for camp participants, creating a unique opportunity to both compete and train with some of the world's leading professionals.
Competition Rules & Categories
To ensure a fair and enjoyable competition for everyone, Summer DanceCup follows the rules of the Danish Dance Teachers Association (DDD).
Our competitions are open to dancers of all ages and levels, with categories for Couples, Solo, Pro/Am and Seniors. Age groups and proficiency levels are clearly defined to help you find the right events.
Before registering, we recommend that all competitors review the competition categories, age classifications and dress code requirements.
You can compete in up to maximum 3 categories, however, please note that by choosing more than 2 categories, the dancer must expect a tight schedule for your competitions.
Profiency Classifications
New Coming Star • Bronze/Silver • Rekruttering/Talent:
D and C class, has danced a few tournaments.
Pay attention to which dances are being danced in the age group.
Rising Star • Gold/Star • Konkurrence:
B and A class, national level, danced several years.
Pay attention to which dances are being danced in the age group.
Open Star • Champion/Super Star • Star:
S class, International level, you have competed several years in WDSF / WDC / WDO.
All dancers may enter the proficiency level they are qualified to dance or higher levels, but NOT below their proficiency level.
Age Category Classifications
Juvenile U12 - under 12
Junior U14 - under 14
Junior U16 - under 16
Youth U19 - under 19
Youth U21 - under 21
Adult - 19+ years old on the day of the competition
Senior 1 - 35+ years old - older partner at least 35, younger partner must be at least 30 on the day of the competition
Senior 2 - 45+ years old - older partner at least 45, younger partner must be at least 40 on the day of the competition
Senior 3 - 55+ years old - older partner at least 55, younger partner must be at least 50 on the day of the competition
Senior 4 - 65+ years old - older partner at least 65, younger partner must be at least 60 on the day of the competition
Juvenile, Junior & Youth couples may dance in their age group and/or in any higher age group, but may NOT dance in a lower age group.
Adults/Seniors may dance in their age group and/or in any lower Adult/Senior age group, but may NOT dance in a higher age group. They may dance in as many age groups as they wish, and the age groups do not need to be consecutive. So that a couple may dance in Senior III, Senior II and Adult.

Accommodation
Choose between staying at BGI Academy or the beautiful Hotel Vejlefjord. Accommodation is available for 3–4 July and 4–5 July, with breakfast included in your stay.
Meals
Breakfast is included with your accommodation.
A buffet dinner can be booked for 3 July and 4 July at BGI Akademiet. During the competition on 4 July, fresh salads and sandwiches are available for purchase from the venue kiosk.
Getting Here
Summer DanceCup takes place at BGI Academy in Denmark, with free parking available on site and convenient access by car, train and airport transfers.

All dancers should be dressed in age and style-appropriate attire which is tasteful and covers all the areas of the body which should be covered.
No. Summer DanceCup is an open competition and welcomes dancers regardless of federation or organisation.

Entries are submitted online through our registration system. Simply choose your categories, complete your registration and receive confirmation by email.

Results are published online throughout the competition day and will remain available after the event.
Absolutely! Spectators are very welcome. Audience tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the entrance, subject to availability.
Accommodation is available at both BGI Academy and Hotel Vejlefjord, just a short distance from the competition venue. Breakfast is included with all accommodation bookings.

Yes! Summer Dancecamp begins the day after Summer DanceCup, making it easy to turn your competition weekend into a full week of world-class training with many of the same judges and teachers.
Yes. Many of our judges and guest teachers are available for private lessons during Summer Dancecamp for camp participants. Requests can be submitted in advance, and lesson schedules are confirmed before the camp begins.
